Rider Skills BRUSH UP (4Hrs $110)

 

BRUSH UP on your rider skills after the cold and snow have left Edmonton! This is a 4 hour course designed for riders with previous experience and has you using your own motorcycle. This course offers you the opportunity to reacquaint yourself with your motorcycle and your riding skills in a controlled environment. Many safe riding habits and practices can be forgotten over the winter. This course will help to remind you of those skills and assist you to improve them so that you will have a long and safe riding season.

 

Skills You will work on:                                           

  • slow speed manoeuvers
  • curves
  • push steering
  • collision avoidance

Rider Requirements:

A valid Driver's Licence and registration is required for Riders Skills Brush Up. Students must bring their own motorcycles and have the following riding gear:

  • An approved motorcycle helmet (DOT, Snell)
  • Full fingered leather gloves
  • Sturdy jacket and pants (leather, denim (at a minimum), or specialized riding gear)
  • Eye protection (eyeglasses, sunglasses, visor or face shield on helmet)
  • Leather boots that cover the ankle bone

 


 

Rider - Refresher Motorcycle Riders Course (1 Day $199)

The Gearing Up Refresher is designed to give motorcyclists with riding experience the opportunity to brush up on skills already learned in a previously taken Gearing Up program, especially after a winter off. Experienced motorcyclists who have no formal training may also benefit from the opportunity to take a short program to improve their existing riding skills. This course is taken using one of the Safety Council's training bikes.
